Anna, Treatment Coordinator
Anna’s career in the dental field spans over two full decades so far. After graduating from Ferris High School, she studied at Navarro College and is a Registered Dental Assistant with certifications in Invisalign, dental sealants, coronal polishing, and CPR. Today, what she enjoys most about her role at our practice is meeting patients who feel self-conscious about their smiles and helping them feel not only more comfortable, but more confident as well.
Rachel, Front Desk/Financial & Insurance Coordinator
Rachel has been a member of our team for over five years – In fact, she was a patient of Dr. Valant’s when she was hired. She can truly relate to our adult patients who feel like they’re too old to get braces. She was 27 when she wore braces and tells our patients that it’s NEVER too late to get treated!
She lived and attended Midlothian schools up until her senior year, but graduated from Italy High School in 2003. From there, she went on to attend Navarro College and holds her AAS in Accounting. What she enjoys most about her work today is helping each new patient from the first phone to the day they get their braces off and seeing the amazing transformations they go through.
Rachel has two children, Anthony and Ruby, and two fur babies; a Yorkie named PJ and a Schnorkie named Pawdrick. She and her fiancé, Ryan, are preparing to get married in October. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, doing hot yoga, shopping, and watching Netflix with her family.
Candice, Orthodontic Assistant
Candice hails from Ferris, a graduate of Ferris High School, and also attended Navarro College. Today, she is a Registered Dental Assistant who’s certified in pit and fissure sealants. Her career in the oral healthcare world covers almost 20 years, and she’s thrilled to now be working alongside Dr. Valant. Getting to know each patient and seeing the positive impact a beautiful smile can make in a person’s life is definitely the most rewarding part of her job!
Candice is happily married to her high school sweetheart Jason, and they have a son named Gavin. In her free time, her top priority is hanging out with Gavin, who is very active in school and after-school sports. Candice also spends lots of time with her dog, a Dogo Argentino named Nala.
Jordynn, Orthodontic Assistant
After graduating from Red Oak high school, Jordynn attended dental assisting school and became a registered dental assistant. She started her career working for Dr Valant. Jordynn has 10 years experience in various dental specialties but realized her passion was in the field of orthodontics and returned to Dr Valant’s office. Jordynn truly loves direct patient care and she also manages our social media.
Jordynn and her husband Tanner, stay busy with their two young girls , Karstynn and Tynslee. They enjoy being involved in the girl’s activities as well as outdoor family time and weekend getaways.
Tina, Orthodontic Assistant
Tina is from the Forney area, and she has been a member of our orthodontic practice for nearly 15 years. After graduating from Cedar Hill High School, she attended Stephen F. Austin State University. Today, what she enjoys most about her position is helping nervous patients feel comfortable so that they eventually enjoy their trips here!
